The First 5

Okay, I have taken the challenge from my friend's mom (I know, weird. But, I thought it would be fun)!
This is not a joke. Please read below for the rules!!
Lucky YOU!
The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be a picture of myself, or a handmade piece of artwork for your living room. I may bake you something. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!
LETS PLAY!

running out of time

So, I'm starting to freak out! As you may have noticed from my little countdown that I've got, Brandon is coming home soon. Brandon is coming home soon, and I feel like I have got none of the things that I had planned to have accomplished, accomplished. I feel like I have been a failure these past 2-years. I know that it's not true, because I have grown leaps and bounds, but in actual things accomplished, I don't think I've got too many THINGS done.
As of right now, Brandon is coming home in 27 days. And, within 27 days, I would like to lose 20 pounds. Do I think that it's really going to happen? Ummm... no.
I would like to patch up the relationship between Brandon's family and myself. How I'm going to do that? I honestly have no clue! I feel like everything I do with that relationship is wrong. I feel like I can never do right, and that it is just hopeless. So, fixing a relationship where both sides feel that they are right, is a little difficult. But, I am willing to admit that I am not right, in an effort to fix this relationship with them.
I need to find a job! This is a MUST! I would like to get a job, so that I can have some money for a nice down payment on a car. I need to buy a car, because Freedom died in December, in Utah. And, I'm tired of being stuck at home unable to do anything, because I don't have a car. I feel like I am in high school again, depending on everyone else to drive me places. And, also I need a car, because when Brandon gets home, I'd like to be able to drive down and see him, without having my mommy drive me (like I'm a teenager without her license).

I seriously feel like I have so much to do, and so little time to do it. I'm starting to FREAK OUT! I'm running out of time!

there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home

I've realized, that I haven't really posted yet, about how glad I am to be home.

I want to share a little bit, about my drive home to California. It was kind of interesting, to say the least. In Utah, when I left, it was nice and warm and sunny. I was kind of sad to be leaving on such a beautiful day. But, my mom had told me that it had been nice and hot back home, so I wasn't too worried. As I'm driving through Utah, the 3 hours it took to get to St. George, it was SOOO incredibly BORING! I kept almost falling asleep (and I wasn't even tired). I decided I would put my ipod on, instead of listening to the one CD that I had, and instead of trying to find a radio station in the middle of nowhere. Thank goodness I had my ipod. Without that, I probably would've died. It kept me awake, until the interesting part of the drive. The gorge between St. George and Mesquite. Once I finally made it to the gorge, it was all a matter of driving to "pit stops". I had my stop in Las Vegas (and then I knew that I was almost home). From Vegas, it only took my 3 hours to get home! But, I was scared out of my mind on the drive home from Vegas. And, here is why. I get to "State Line" and, I'm thinking to myself, "My, the clouds are looking awfully gray, and the wind sounds and feels like it is blowing pretty hard." And, my thoughts were right! As soon as I passed over the state line from Nevada to California, where I would normally be jamming out to the Beach Boys "California Girls", I was white knuckling it, trying to keep my car in my lane, and keep it from being blown over. It was probably one of the scariest driving conditions I've ever been in! I think if I had been out of the car, I would've blown over! That weather continued for the next hour or so, wind, sand storms, and rain! When I finally hit Barstow, the horrible weather had finally stopped. And, I couldn't help but sing to myself, "Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly. There's a land that I've heard of once in a lullaby." My land over the rainbow is home. There was a rainbow over the Cajon Pass, coming home, and it was like a perfect ending to my Provo Adventure.

Now, I am at home, and LOVING it! My mom hasn't started to drive me crazy, too much, yet! I can't wait to find a new job, and hopefully someday soon, buy a new car! I am loving getting to spend time with my family, and I actually have started to enjoy unpacking. I got most of my clothes unpacked today, and once I am able to put most of my stuff under my bed, I will have the rest of my stuff unpacked. I'm excited for the next month and a half. It's Nathan's birthday next week, Brandon comes home less than 3 weeks after that, my aunt gets married about 2 weeks after that, and it is all going to be amazing!

Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Me!

Who knew that getting old could be so much fun? I sure didn't!
I am now 21-years old, and it is weird, because all of a sudden, I feel so much older. I remember back in high school, thinking that all of the people who were 21 were SOOO much older than me, and that they were just so old. But now, I am one of those old 21-year olds. Really though, 21 isn't that old, I just feel like wow, I'm 21 and now I should have the rest of my life planned out. It's not even close to planned out though!
So, here's to nothing... hopefully the next 21 years bring MANY accomplishments and happiness.

My birthday was actually a lot of fun. I kind of just got to do whatever I really wanted, other than renew my drivers license. Luckily, I passed the written test, only missing 2 questions (Yay me!). Then, after I renewed my license, I went out to lunch with my aunt Dede. I love getting to see her and spend time with her. I feel like she is the only one in my family who actually sees me as a grown up, that I'm not just the 5-year old little Terri that I once was. After lunch, my aunt took me shopping, and got me a new Angels sweatshirt... way cute! On my way home, I stopped by my mom's work to say hi. Her whole class sang to me, it was really fun having a kindergarten class sing to me. Then, I went and got a pedicure. Let me tell you, I was definitely in need of one. I had not got a pedicure since JULY! It felt so good. Later, my dad, Nathan, and I went to the Angels game. It was so much fun. My dad kept getting annoyed with Nathan, and I couldn't help but laugh, because he wouldn't have been annoyed if Nathan hadn't been there, and my dad insisted that Nathan go. So, I just kept wanting to say, "I told you so." For Nathan almost being 16, he can sometimes act very immature. Oh well, he makes me laugh, and he's my brother, so I love him! All in all, it was an amazing 21st birthday. People may be surprised that I'm not heading to Vegas for the weekend, or anything like that. But, I am so excited that I am getting to spend it with the people who matter most to me.

April 22, 2009

Wish they all could be California girls!

I am so excited to be back in California! After a 9 hour and 15 minute drive, by myself. (And, the shortest time I've done it in, I might add.) I was so tired when I got home, I couldn't even think about unpacking the car, which was filled to the top with my stuff. I didn't realize how much stuff I had until I had to move it home!
But, when I got home, I was greeted by my mom, sister, and niece with big hugs. I love them! I went inside and got to open up my birthday presents from them.
I am so glad to be home, and I am very excited for the next 4-months that I will be here! I already miss Provo, and my friends there. But, I know that this is what I needed to do.

April 20, 2009

Saying goodbye.

It well may be, that we will never meet again. In this lifetime, so let me say before we part. So much of me, is made of what I learned from you, you'll be with me like a hand print on my heart. And now whatever way our stories end, I know you have re-written mine, by being my friend... who can say if I've been changed for the better, but because I knew you, I have been changed for good. And, just to clear the air, I ask forgiveness for the things I've done you blame me for. But then I guess we know there's blame to share, but none of it seems to matter anymore.

So, that was a little bit long, but it is my feelings. I am going to miss the friends that I have made out here, in Provo, these past 10 months. You have changed my life, whether it is for the better or not, it has been for good. You have all touched my life in one way or another.
I had to say my first goodbyes today, and one of them brought me to tears. Miss Amanda JOY Hawkes has touched my life so much, and I am going to miss her. I know that I am not leaving forever, but these 4-months while I am at home are going to change my life, in ways that I don't know if I am ready for or not.
While I have been out here in Provo, I have realized who my true friends are, back home in California. There are people that I know love me, and that I know will be there for me. And then, there are the people who I thought loved me, and I found out, that moving away ruins those friendships. But here, I have people who do truly love me. They will be there for me while I am out in California, and when I return here to Provo. I'm just going to miss them TERRIBLY!

I really want to thank the following people:
-Melissa Fiso: You have been one of the best roommates that a girl could ask for. I hope that you know how much you mean to me, and how much I am truly going to miss you. What am I going to do when I have a breakdown at the middle of the night, and I need someone to go on a slurpee run and drive around town? You will always hold a special place in my heart.
-Amanda JOY Hawkes: You have become one of my best friends. I love you so much, and I know that the perfect guy is out there for you. Heavenly Father has a plan for you, and even though we can't see it yet, it is a perfect plan for you, and everything will work out the way that it should.
-Aaron Glade: You have become the big brother that I've always wanted. You always been there to listen to me, and help solve my problems. And, when you couldn't solve them yourself, you guided me to another answer or to find comfort in what I am going through. I am eternally grateful for that.
-Eric Davis: I prayed at the beginning of the school year for an excellent home teacher, and my prayers were answered through you. You have been the best home teacher and friend to me. We have had many tear filled talks, and I know that I wouldn't have made it through these 8 months without you. You helped me to see that even if things don't work out the way that I want them to, that Heavenly Father has something better in store for me, and that is being proven by this summer.
-Eric Simons: You have been one of my best friends since last summer. People may think that we are only friends when I need something, but it's not like that at all. I love you like a best friend, and I could not imagine the past 9 months without you.
-David Western: So, I'm not really saying goodbye to you (since you're moving home to California for the summer, too). But, you have truly become part of my family. My family LOVES you, and I am so grateful for your friendship over the past year and a half. Provo would not have been the same without you here. I'm grateful that I always had a friend (from back home) that I could go to, that actually knew my family, and could give me advice that was straight-up and honest. You don't care if it hurts me, because the truth sometimes hurts. And, I'm grateful for that.
-Lindsay Neeley: You are one of the most beautiful women that I know. You are beautiful inside and out. I have never heard you say a harsh word about anyone. It is no wonder that an amazing man, named Preston, has fallen in love with you. Amazing things are about to come your way, and I am so ready for you to receive those and enjoy them!
-Jessica Thompson: You are one of the best people I know. We both have our pasts, and it's amazing that we have both been able to move on from them. You are an amazing friend, and you have been able to teach me so much about myself. You have a crazy hilarious sense of humor, and I'm definitely going to miss that.
-Debbie Scofield: You are pretty much one of the most sarcastic people (besides myself) that I know. It has been a true pleasure and joy to get to know you over the past few months. I look forward to our future blossoming friendship... I lovers you!**
-Mike VanderDoes: I want to thank you for the things that you have taught me. I'm thankful for the friendship that we have regained. You made me see the things which my heart truly desires, and I'm grateful for that.
-Myles Glover: You are a jerk, and thank you for being the jerk in my life. I knew that I could always count on you for that. Good luck in your life, and I hope that someday you can grow up and stop acting like you're in high school.
-TR Tyler: You are my perfect movie buddy. We have the same taste in movies, and I'm so grateful for getting to know you. Thank you for the apartment decorating ideas, it really did freak out my roommates when they moved in. Thank you for all of your corky ideas, and for your sense of humor.
And, last but DEFINITELY not least,
-Britta Anderson: You are my EFY BFF. But, you're more than that! You're my biscuit pizza, co-inventor. You're my amazing friend who calls or texts me right when I need a friend the most. You are amazing. It is no surprise that this is your 3rd year working EFY. You are a great example to everyone that you meet. I love you so much, and am going to miss taking 7 hour naps with you this summer. "SPANISH RICE!!!" "WORK, WORK, WORK... CORNER, CORNER, CORNER, CORNER!"

Some of the Perks to Being Cute

Today was a busy day for me. Or, at least the morning was pretty busy. I had to go to the post office and send Brandon's "last letter", get gas in the rental car, go to the bank, and find boxes for moving. The boxes for moving were a little harder to get than I had imagined, but I succeeded in that task.
And, this is where I found a perk to being cute. I went to Macey's, thinking, "Oh, this will be an EASY place to get boxes." Boy was I wrong! I went to the produce section, to ask for any empty boxes, and they said that they didn't have any. So, I was a little disappointed and was wondering where I was going to go and get boxes. I decided that I would try a few other grocery stores.
The next one that I went to was Smith's. I walked back to the produce section, thinking I was going to have the same result as at Macey's. I went and asked the produce worker, "Do you have any empty produce boxes that I could have?" First he kind of gave me a quick "up-down" look, then all of a sudden had a HUGE smile on his face and said, "Well, we really aren't supposed to give them out, but since you're so cute, I'll give them to you." I was a little bit in shock, I had never had someone be that honest with me about my looks before. I kind of stood there for a second in shock, and then he told me where to get the boxes at.
Now, I am home, still a little bit in shock from this morning's incident at Smith's. But, I have 4 BIG produce boxes to finish my packing. Hopefully they will be enough, I think they will be. I might even have too many boxes now. But, if it's not enough, at least I know where to go to get more boxes, with my "cuteness".

7 days...

So, that was supposed to sound freaky, like in "The Ring", but I doubt that it worked. I am so excited! I turn 21 in 7 days! Being a "mormon girl" turning 21 doesn't give me any special priviledges. I don't drink and I don't gamble, so the 2 things that most people look forward to, I'm not. I'm not making a big special trip to Vegas, to celebrate my 21st birthday. Yes, I will be driving through Vegas the day before, on my way home from Utah, but the only reasons I'll be stopping are for gas and for IN-N-OUT!
I'm not really sure why, but I'm into making lists lately. So, I'm going to make a list of the things that I am going to try to accomplish with this new age. Kind of like a New Year's resolution, but more like, it's the year of ME. OK, that sounded really self-centered, but seriously, this age is the age that I am going to focus on myself. Just look at the list, and you'll understand!

  • lose 20 lbs.
  • finish another year of school
  • read the Book of Mormon again
  • figure out a little bit more of my future
  • buy a car
  • workout at least 4 times a week
  • re-learn how to play the flute
The plans for my birthday are to re-new my driver's license, in the morning. Then, I'm having lunch with my Dede. Around 4 or 5 o'clock, my dad and I will leave for the Angels game. The game's at 7:05 against the Detroit Tigers. The night before that, I am going to dinner with my mom, and the night after my birthday, I'm going to dinner with my friends. I'm getting ready for my week of birthday stuff! It's all starting this Friday, dinner with my friends, here in Utah!

Counting Down the Days...

Dear Reader,

As I sit here in my almost bare room, I am starting to reflect upon the past year. Or, actually, the past 10 months. I cannot believe that it has already been 10 months since I moved out to Utah. Since I started my big adventure in Utah. It is weird to think that it is somehow coming to an end.
I am moving home for 4 months (at the least), because I need to work, buy a car, and figure out my future. I know that the future will bring me back out to Utah, but who and what will be in my future is the question right now. I'm hoping that I will have a good enough paying job, where it will make more of my dreams and goals possible, but I honestly have know idea what the future has in store for me.
This will not be my last post in Utah (before I leave), but while I'm thinking about it, I'd like to highlight some of my best times I've had in Utah so far, and I want to thank the people who have made this adventure especially amazing!

I guess I will try and go chronologically...
  • EFY 2008 was pretty much AMAZING. I learned so much about myself, Christ, and about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I started as a counselor, I hadn't even been a member of the church for a year yet, but I grew leaps and bounds throughout the summer. I also got to teach the youth of the church, watch their testimonies grow, and bond with them like I had never expected.
  • My 3 weeks off during the summer were an experience all in themselves. I had 3 weeks in July off of EFY, and I was pretty much a bum. I learned who my friends were, and I learned who I could depend on. I want to thank those people who housed me those weeks, you ladies are seriously ANGELS and some of you have become my best friends.
  • Moving into my apartment. As I drove up to my apartment, I kind of had a "oh crap!" moment, wondering what I was getting myself into. But, with my cousin there with me and my friends supporting me, I made it. I have had my moments with some of my roommates, where I want to tear my hair out or shoot them in the face. And then, I've had moments where I have laughed so hard with them, I almost peed my pants!
  • This brings me to one of the people that I am so priviledged to call my friend, my roommate Melissa. She is amazing and has been such a blessing to me. I feel sometimes like I don't deserve a friend like her, but she has been there for me during the hard times these past 8 months, and for the times where I am crazy and we're having so much fun together. I am going to miss her so much over the next 4 months.
  • Amanda Hawkes is one of the most amazing women that I know. She has become one of my best friends. When I'm having a bad day, I can call her up and I know that she has an ear to listen (no matter how busy or crappy her day is going). If I hadn't moved to Utah, I don't think that I ever would have actually met her (even though we knew each other before I moved here). We have had some crazy times together, and I am so grateful for her friendship.
  • The Carrie Underwood concert was pretty much HILARIOUS. I think mainly because we didn't actually go to the concert. Amanda is friends with one of the guys in Carrie Underwood's band, and it was his birthday, so we went to the 'E' Center just to meet up with him after the concert and wish him a happy birthday. Probably one of the funniest things ever. And, let me tell you, my hands were FROZEN by the end of the night. Thank goodness it hadn't started snowing yet, because I would've been a Terri-cicle.
  • Road trips home with David were pretty much awesome. You're probably thinking, why? Being stuck in a car for 10 hours with a guy (who is not your boyfriend) cannot be fun. But, let me tell you, David and I had some interesting conversations, plus getting to sing car-karaoke with one of your "big brothers" is always fun!
  • Late night talks with Melissa. We spent many nights, up late, together. Whether she was writing a paper, I couldn't sleep, or we both were just up, we had fun and bonded a lot. We went on MANY slurpee runs on those nights, and I've learned not to go to the 7-Eleven on State St. anymore (because they don't have banana slurpees).
  • Lindsay Neeley is one of the best people that I know. She is so wise and inciteful. She was not a "new" friend when I moved out here, but we did become much closer. I'm so excited for her upcoming adventure, and I know that things will work out for the best.
  • Eric and Aaron. You may be wondering why they are in a pair, and I think that's because that's how I've always talked about them to my roommates, friends, family, etc. They are my new "big brothers". They are always willing to listen when I am having an emotional break down, and they have been there for me many, many times. And, I don't think that they complain too much when I have left over lasagna, enchiladas, tatertot casserole, or any other kind of food that I've made!
  • Eric Simons (Bearic). What would I do without him? He has been my true friend since EFY. Grant it, he did like me for most of the summer, I am so grateful for his friendship. He is always there for me, and I am and will always be there for him. Whenever he needs some advice on girls, or whatever, he can come to me, and he knows that he will get an honest answer. It's kind of sad, I am BRUTALLY honest with him sometimes, but I think it's something that he has learned to expect from me.
OK, so I'm sure that I have missed some people and TONS of events... but it is getting late, and for once I am actually tired. I will continue to do my little "thanks" and shout outs in another post, at a later time. I love you all!

Love,
Terri Ann

Nobody wins, and nobody's keeping score. The truth is I just don't think I can do this anymore.

Ugh... I hate that it is 5:45 in the morning, and I am wide awake!!! I have insomnia, to the max! Or wait, I don't think it's insomnia, I think it's that I'm really nocturnal. I stay up all night, and then I sleep all day. It is horrible though! I need to figure out someway to get tired at night, so that I can sleep at NORMAL times.

I've had friends joke that maybe I am an owl, or a vampire. But, seriously, I need to figure out what is wrong with me! And, if I can't sleep at night, I want to find a job where I can work at night and sleep during the day... at least then I will be using my time effectively. lol.

Let me sleep, for when I sleep I dream that you are here, you're mine, and all my dreams are left behind.
I float on air, the nightingale sings gentle lullaby's, so let me close my eyes.
And sleep, per chance to dream. So I can see the face I long to touch, to kiss.
But, only dreams can bring me this.
So let the moon shine softly on the boy I long to see, and maybe when he dreams, he'll dream of me.

I'll hide beneath the clouds, and whisper to the evening stars.
They tell me love is just a dream away. I'll dream away.
So let the moon shine softly on the boy I long to see, and maybe when he dreams, he'll dream of me.

Terrbear and Bearic

So, I had an amazing night with a very dear friend of mine. My very good friend Eric and I went to a play/musical tonight. I had so much fun with him, and I forgot how much fun I could have with someone.

Eric and I were both EFY counselors this past summer. And, we became some of the best of friends. He liked me for a little bit, but we both realized that we were much better off as just friends. (I hate how tan he is in this picture, and how I look like a GHOST!) We spent so much time together this summer, and I feel like he is one of the few people that really understand me. I love him to death, and I'm really going to miss him during the 4 months when I am living back at home in California. But, hopefully he will get to come and visit me!

Aprons, Aprons, Aprons...

I've been trying to find a CUTE apron recently. One that I can bake, clean, and do everything around the house in. I know, it sounds weird, Terri... looking like a housewife, please?!? But, seriously. I have had to borrow aprons from my friends recently. (And, btw... I'm not really a fan of their aprons, just needed one to wear.)
So, I was checking out my friend Adrianne's blog, when I stumbled upon her post about an apron give away. I read the post, and I figured, why not? I clicked on the link to the "Apron Lady's" blog, and here are these ADORABLE aprons! I loved 'em. I'm definitely going to order one, but I'm going to wait until I move back out here in the fall to do so.
But, I just wanted to share with y'all her aprons. They're adorable, and I'm sure that you'll love them just as much as I have! http://epicureanstyle.typepad.com/my_weblog/

And, here's a quick little picture of one of her adorable aprons!

Two Roads Diverged in a Yellow Wood and Sorry I Could Not Travel Both

Ugh, so I promise that one of these posts, someday, will be non-emotional and it will actually be interesting for you to read. But, this is not one of them.
I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, and I realize that I am at a crossroads in my life right now. I am stuck trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, and where I want to go.
The left turn, in this crossroad, is where my heart has been for the past 2 years (and a few months). My heart has been with Brandon Adawi. I gave it to him, and he gave me his. It's been a long, hard past 2 years, but now that I see the end in sight, I can't help but want to turn and run away. I'm so scared of what is going to happen. Things are perfect between he and I, but there are outside influences that are making things difficult. It would be easier for me to just turn and run away, run back to somewhere comfortable, run to something easy. But, is that necessarily what is good for me? I've lived my life going through things that weren't easy, and for once, when something was easy, people went and complicated things and made it not easy anymore.
I don't know if I should take this left turn, go to where my heart is, and go down that path. Or, if I should look down that road and just keep running the way that I'm going.
A friend of mine told me last night, that he was in love with me, and that he really really likes me. I was completely caught off guard. But then he said, that he knew that I couldn't love him back, or even like him back, because my head and my heart are closed. He didn't tell me that, because he wanted a reaction out of me, but he told me that because he just wanted me to know. In all actually, he just opened my eyes to how I may have treated people recently. In the past 2 years, I have closed my heart. I promised Brandon that I would, that I wouldn't let anyone steal my heart from him, let alone from me. And, maybe this is my fear talking, but maybe by me doing that, I closed off doors to great people, who I should have ended up with. Who's family will not hate me, who' will stick up for me, who will be the man that he needs to be.
I have a problem, I second guess every decision that I make. And, I'm not saying in anyway, that I do not love Brandon with all of my heart. But, what I am saying is, what if there is someone out there that loved me with all of their heart, and I was blinded by Brandon, to see that?
I have 52 days, until Brandon comes home, and until I can finally choose the path that I will travel down.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference

I Think I Miss You

I miss you
I don't know why,
Something's missing deep inside
Your heart so near
Yet far away,
So when I build a sandcastle
In the air, I create thinking
This is what You'd like,
And in the gentle waves
Lapping back and forth
I see your smile
Back and forth
In and out
Close and warm.

Leaving trails on my heart
My fingers sink into the sand,
I feel each grain
The coolness, yet as if
Not feeling, for my mind
Is not here, but there
For I like the way we care,
I can hear You stepping in the sand
behind
I don't need to turn
Your heart is already mine.

I miss you like the sand misses the wave.

I miss you like the sun misses the flower; like the sun misses the flower in the depths of winter.

Hope is what guides me, that is what gets me through the day and the night. The hope that after you're gone from my sight, it will not be the last time that I look upon you.

APRIL FOOLS!!!

I know that some of you readers were expecting a BIG elaborate April Fools joke out of me this year, but I refrained.
Last year, I made a BIG joke that I was engaged. It was quite hilarious, or at least Danielle and I thought it was. But, MANY of my MG friends did not think so. We had the whole story planned out, of how the guy asked me. How he asked my dad permission before hand, and we even had our colors and date set. It was HILARIOUS! Well, this story upset MANY of my friends. To the point where they were about to pull HUGE pranks on me. I mean, I wouldn't have believed them, but still, it wasn't going to be very nice of them.
So, this year I decided that I would not pull a prank like that, again. Instead, I decided to do something a little bit different. In my ward, every Wednesday night we have "Dessert Night". I was talking with some of my friends, who are in charge of this dessert night, and they said that there weren't very many people signed up to bring desserts. I told them that I would make something and bring it, just so I could help them out. Well, this is when my plan was in motion. I decided that I would make brownies and bring them to dessert night. OK, these brownies were not going to be just any brownies, NO, they were going to be special brownies. Come on now people, I'm not that mean, they weren't going to be those kind of "special" brownies. Geez, what kind of a person do you think I am?!? The special kind of brownies that they were going to be was, they were going to be menthol blue brownies! YUM! For those of you who don't know what menthol blue does to you, if you digest it, it makes your pee turn blue/green. So, I make these special brownies. Oh, and by the way, you can't taste ANY difference in the brownies. I ate like 2 brownies, and brought the rest down to the dessert night. By the time I left the dessert night, the brownies were all gone. I was very excited! Now, I'm just waiting for the reaction!
This prank/joke I decided wasn't as serious as last year's joke. Although, last year's joke was HILARIOUS, I still laugh thinking about the reactions I got out of people. But, this prank/joke was HILARIOUS! I'm excited to do next year's joke!
