I'm sure that some of you are wondering what a "tookis" is, and why I'm publicizing that it is broken. The only reason I am thinking that some of you do not know what a "tookis" is, is because my wonderful roommate Melissa didn't know what it was! Well, for those of you who do not know what it is, it is a butt, a tooshy, a rump, a rear end (whatever word you would like to use for the thing attached to your body that you sit on).
So, here's the story. Oh, and before I tell the story of how I broke my tookis, I would like to share another story. My friend Marc thinks it is hilarious how I can tell stories. I guess that I get it from my Papa, but I am pretty much AMAZING at telling stories. It may not be very noticeable through my blog, but I get very animated when I tell a story, get all into it, and just grab your attention. I'm going to try and do that with this story, but, it may be hard.
All last week, my friend Joe and I were talking about going snowboarding. We decided that we were going to go on Friday. YAY! I was so excited, you have no idea! Well, then, on Thursday night, I get a text from Joe, saying that we aren't going to go on Friday anymore, but that we were going to wait until Saturday, when our friend Jessica could go. That ended up being a GREAT idea. I woke up on Friday and felt like I was dead. My chest was all congested, and I felt like Death had come knocking on my door. So, I ended up sleeping pretty much all day, so it was good that we didn't go snowboarding. Then, on Saturday morning, I got a text from Joe, and he said that we weren't going to be going snowboarding anymore. I wasn't too upset about it, I just rolled back over and went back to sleep. At around 2:00, I went down and was talking to Jessica, and she said that she and her sister and some other friends were going to be going snowboarding at night, and asked if I wanted to go. I decided, definitely! I went back up to my apartment and got all ready to go snowboarding.
There ended up being 7 of us that went. We went up to Brighton, to go night snowboarding. It was way fun! I hadn't actually been snowboarding in about 2 years. I was a little nervous. I didn't fall off of the ski-lift, like I thought I would, which was a good sign! So, Joe and I went up together, and we start coming down the hill. I ate it quite a bit... which I guess is to be expected. Anyways, Joe and I went down on some runs. I probably went on like 4 or 5 long runs. It was way fun! Well, I have this problem snowboarding, I'm not very good at riding toe side. I am pretty good at heel side, but not so bueno at toe side. I made a comment to Joe (while taking a little breather, since I had been really sick) on my last run, that I don't ever really fall on my butt, but that I fall on my knees and kill my knees! Well, I spoke too soon. As I'm finishing my last run, I'm almost to the bottom, where the ski lift is, and this other boarder cuts me off! I spun out and totally ate it. Or, should I say, my tookis totally ate it! A pain shot up my spine, like I had never felt before. I felt like I was going to vomit and I couldn't walk for a minute. I just layed there in pain and agony, for about 5 minutes. I finally got up, and was able to hobble over to these logs by the ski lift, and I sat there for about 10 minutes, waiting for Joe to come down. I was dead.
When I got home, I looked at my knees, because on my way down the hill on the last run, I killed my right knee. And, my right knee was TWICE the size that it normally is. And, I took a look at my tookis. Let me just say, the NASTIEST bruises on my tookis, that I have ever seen in my life! It is now, almost a week later, and the bruises on my tookis, still there, still nasty, and it's still broken. My knees are bruised up, but not as much pain as they were the other day. So, here I am... stuck in bed (because my roommate Melissa won't let me leave my bed, she keeps telling me to ELEVATE my butt). I have been wanting to go snowboarding again, but probably not the smartest idea. I think that one small fall on my butt, I might die! hahaha.
