Idiot...

Do people think that I am an idiot? The past few weeks, I have had a few encounters with a few individuals that seem to think I am an idiot. Wait, no, I forgot, I'm not an idiot, I'm just an unmotivated, unfocused, noncontrolling, and undriven person. But, if you don't think I'm controlling, than you obviously haven't tried to help me out while I'm cooking, because as many of my friends have come to learn, you don't try to help Terri while she is cooking, because it is the one time that she has complete control of EVERYTHING. But, people may not think of me as motivated, focused, controlling, or driven, but that is because I don't portray them like most people who are. I know how to get what I want, and I can get it the nice way. I was taught that being nice and being polite can and will go a long way. And, in my past, it has. The other thing is, people may think that I am the ditsy, talkative, friendly, cheerleader type of person, and yes, some of these may be true, but tell me would a ditz have a 137 IQ? Would a ditz have scored in the TOP percentile, in the state, for the California High School Exit Exam? Would a ditz be able to see right through the mind games that people play? No, I don't think so.
Some people, may think that I know nothing about marriage, family, or pretty much anything, but that is kind of impossible to know NOTHING about a subject that you are raised in. No, I may not know what it is like to be married, but I am pretty sure I know how to not let a marriage fail. Being a child of divorce, especially when your mother tells you EVERYTHING about her failed marriage, I think I know a little bit about marriage. I agree that you cannot fully understand marriage until you are actually in it, but MILLIONS of other people make it work, without being in a marriage previously, so don't you think that it is possible? Sorry, I'm just kind of venting, because I'm an idiot, and I'm allowed to do that... it's my blog! If you don't like it, don't read it! lol.
My suggestion, advice, or take it as you may, is that you need to learn to get to know people. Don't JUDGE! It says in James 4:11: "Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge." Don't judge people on what they do, you need to love one another! John 13:34-35 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
As upset as I may be with these people, for the judgement which they have put on me, I love them oh so very much! I have a curse (even though some may think of it as a gift), I trust and forgive people too easily. These people may have hurt me, but I will still bring them cookies and have a nice chat with them, anytime. And once again, open myself up to be hurt.
But, basically, I just want to say, don't judge people by the appearance that they put off. I was raised to always have a smile on my face, whether I am having a good day, bad day, or whatever. I don't let people know when I am struggling, I am a quietly driven person. I have my goals, and I know exactly what I need to do to reach them. And, I'm not an idiot, I know when you're talking crap about me, and treating me like a door mat.
