Oh Wow...

So, I feel really bad. And, I feel like I've been leaving everyone out of my life over the past few weeks. I just feel like there has nothing really exciting to post about. lol.
OK, so it's March. OMG, I cannot believe that it is already March. Melissa and I were just talking about how fast time has passed. I remember back when I moved into my apartment in August, that I couldn't believe that I only had 9 months left until Brandon got home. And now, I only have LESS THAN 3 months left. It's ridiculous, where did the time go? I feel like I haven't been too busy, yet the time has flown by like I have been SUPER busy.
There has been a lot of drama in my life the past few weeks. And, I'm trying to ignore it. I know, ignoring a problem doesn't solve it, and it only makes problems bigger, but when these problems aren't easily solved I feel more comfortable not being confrontational and just ignoring it. At least for the next 3 months I will be ignoring this problem, and I can handle it when Brandon comes home. Considering it is partially his fault for the problem in the first place. So, I'm not sure if I could be anymore vague in that last little paragraph, but oh well, we're moving on!
In the past two weeks, Lauren and Mason WOULD HAVE celebrated their 4-year anniversary on February 23rd (had Lauren not broken up with Mason). Brandon and I celebrated our 2-year anniversary on February 24th. And, Hailey celebrated her 1st Birthday on February 25th. I was really sad that I couldn't be home this past weekend for Hailey's birthday party, but I talked to Mason throughout the afternoon and got pictures sent to me.
I've been REALLY sick for the past week. Last Saturday (the 21st) I went to the "Hot Pots" with some friends, and let me tell you... they were HOT! Like, ridiculously hot, I thought that I had 1st degree burns all over my legs because it was so hot! When I got home, my legs were still BRIGHT red. Well, anyways, we went to the hot pots, and then when we got out of the water, it was cold outside, so I don't think that was the best choice, because I think that's how I got sick. Last Sunday, I woke up and had no voice. And then, on Monday, I woke up and felt like I had 3 bricks fall on my chest over night. My chest felt so heavy and sick, and it's felt that way ever since. In 3-nights, I got 33 hours of sleep, I slept for 13-hours in one night! On Friday and Saturday, I was feeling a little bit better, and then on Saturday night, I had a really emotional and rough night, and the sickness all came back! So, I've been chilling at home, drinking lots of water, for the past 2 days!
I'm hoping that I get better soon, and that it doesn't turn into bronchitis or pneumonia. I wasn't worried about pneumonia, until my friend Marc mentioned it. So, keep me in your prayers, I'm avoiding going to the doctor, and hoping that over the counter medications will do the trick! Anyways, I'm off to bed. But, this month, I'm definitely going to try and keep everyone a little bit more updated! (But, we'll see what happens! ha ha ha).
Love ya,
Terri!

A fun weekend in California

I am so glad that I had the opportunity this past weekend to go home to California. It was a 3-day weekend, so my friend Becca and I headed to my house. I surprised my family, all except for my mom, and I was surprised by TONS of drama too. But, it was a good weekend.
How many people can say that they went swimming on Valentine's Day? Well, I mean I'm sure there are people who live in Hawaii and other warm places that can say that they did, but Becca and I went swimming at my house. It was so much fun! Then we went to "the Boat" for Valentine's dinner with my mom. It was SOOOOO good. I cannot believe how much I've missed it. It was closed for 2 years, and just recently re-opened, and the food was just as good as I remembered it!
Sunday, we had church and my mom made a roast for dinner... TASTY! It's one of those things that you miss about home, because I would probably never make a roast on my own, but when my mom makes it.... Mmmmm! Then, we put all of my mom's Christmas decorations (I know, it's the middle of February, but my brother won't help her put them away, so she was waiting for me). After all of that, Becca and I went to the beach to walk along the pier and then to Downtown Disney. It was a really, really, really good weekend! I was bummed that I didn't get to see more of my friends, but oh well, next time!
On Monday, we got up at 7:00, so that we could leave and stop by my dad's house at 8:00. It was POURING down rain, so we were a little worried that the roads would be closed. Right before we left my dad's house, we found out that the Cajon Pass was closed. For those of you who don't drive in or out of southern California, that is the ONLY way to get back to Utah. We were a little freaked out that we wouldn't get back in time for school and work. So, my dad mapped out another way for us to go. It was going to take a LONG time the other way, but we would at least get home, right? NO, the way that we were going to go was around Big Bear and down the back side of the mountain. We got about half-way up the mountain and they stopped us and told us that we needed chains. I mean, we're Utah drivers, do we really need chains? Apparently the answer to that question is yes. Well, Becca has a Mini-Cooper and it is REALLY hard to find chains for her car, so we thought that we were STUCK in California. (You're probably thinking that couldn't be too bad, I mean it's California. But, when you need to get back for school and work, it's a bit of a problem.) When we realized that we wouldn't be able to go the back way, we headed back to the Cajon Pass, because we heard that it had opened up again. After about a 3-hour delay, we finally made it through the pass and were on our way home to Utah. A total of 12-hours (in the car) later, we were home in Provo.
It was an exciting and interesting trip, and much needed! I needed my family fix, and I think I'll be good until April. I'm glad to be back in Provo (even though there was a snow storm on Saturday and today, and there is still no snow). I'm hoping that these next 3 months of my life have LESS drama, and that everything goes as planned.

Craziness...

Dear Reader,
I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. I'm sure none of you really care about this, but I figured I'd share anyways. I've come to the realization that men are retarded. OK, not all men, but most men are.
I was put into a horrible situation last weekend, and since that time a lot of my "guy friends" have been extremely nice to me. Not that I'm complaining, but it is just weird! Since that time, they have been overly nice, inviting me to do things with them (that they usually wouldn't), and offering me LOADS of advice. It is completely out of the ordinary and definitely got me to thinking. Is there an ulterior motive behind this niceness?
I have always been the kind of person who goes above and beyond, and will do anything for her friends. But, have they always been the same way towards me? The answer to that question is no. But now, that I am kind of like a "hurt puppy", they want to take care of me and nurture me. Are they doing this because they are happy about the situation that last weekend put me in, or do they genuinely care about me? I'm not sure if I will ever know the answer to this question, and I'm probably second guessing every act of kindness because of my lack of trust in people.
Well, now that I am done unloading the thoughts that have been going through my mind, I am going to hope that you all have a WONDERFUL weekend, and that hopefully your weekend isn't as busy as mine is supposed to be.
Love,
Terri

Man After Midnight?

Hmmm... so I'm sure that most of you who are reading this are probably thinking to yourself, Terri, you know you're not supposed to have a man at your apartment after midnight. But, that is not what this post is about. Well, kind of, but not really.
More or less, I was just thinking about how I am getting tired of being alone and that I cannot wait until I have a man of my own. WOW, that sounded really possesive (which some may think is good for me). But, really, in this song called "Gimme Gimme Gimme", it's by Abba, but it is in Mamma Mia, they say how she wants a man after midnight to help chase the shadows away and to take her to the break of the day. I mean, honestly, who doesn't want that? I can't name anyone who doesn't want someone like that!
I love the song "Gimme Gimme Gimme", 1. because it has a great beat and 2. because the lyrics just say everything that I'm feeling right now! Like I said before, I'm getting tired of being alone, and I can't wait for Brandon to come home! Less than 4 months now! But, I'm too the point where I want and feel like it should be my turn. I know that my turn will come soon enough, but right now it isn't coming soon enough.
Anyways, now that I'm done with my random 3:30 AM thought/post, I think I should go to bed. I'm kinda going crazy now, because I get so bored during the day, so all I do is sleep. And, then at night, I'm wide awake and can't sleep! Someone help! Entertain me during the day or something! ha ha ha!

Biscuit Pizza?!?

You may be wondering to yourself, what in the world is biscuit pizza? Well, I have to tell you a story, before I tell you exactly what biscuit pizza is.
Britta was down from Logan this weekend, for her EFY counselor interview, so she and I hung out on Saturday night, and she spent the night. We had so much fun together. I was having a bad weekend, already, so Britta coming down REALLY helped! We went bra shopping at Victoria's Secret (I know, a little t.m.i. but, still so fun!). Then, we came back home and decided that we were hungry, and that we wanted pizza, but we didn't want to order pizza, but wanted to make pizza from scratch. I mean, how much more fun can you have? Making pizza from scratch... so fun! Well, we went and visited a friend of ours, Kay, and hung out with her for awhile, laughed hysterically... MY BAD! Then on the way home, stopped at Macey's to get some cheese and toppings for the pizza that we would be making. When we returned home, I pulled up a "Quick Pizza Dough" recipe off of the internet and got to work making the dough. When I was done making the dough, I realized that it was a little thick for pizza dough, but just figured, "Oh well, it will just be some thick crust."
We loaded up the pizza with tons of sauce, cheese, canadian bacon, and pineapple. When we put the pizza in the oven, oh my goodness, it was so heavy! But, we were excited for this pizza creation we were making. 20 minutes later, when we took the pizza out of the oven, we realized that we had a "Biscuit Pizza".
Now, I will explain what a biscuit pizza is. Well, we realized, that the "Quick Pizza Dough" recipe was more a "Quick Biscuit Dough" recipe. So, the dough that we made was biscuit dough, and that was the reason it was as thick as it was. A biscuit pizza is a pizza made on a GIANT biscuit. It tastes amazing! I mean, who doesn't love biscuits, and who doesn't love pizza? With a biscuit pizza, you get the best of both worlds! I am thinking that Britta and I should patent the idea, because honestly, it is AMAZING!
Next time you are in the Provo area, call me up, and I will make you a DELICIOUS biscuit pizza!
